Som Energía's new 1.5 MW La Florida photovoltaic plant was inaugurated in the municipality of Lora del Río, Seville. The park began operating at the beginning of November, and currently generates the equivalent energy to supply about 1,000 homes (about 2,600 MWh / year).
La Florida has an investment of EUR1.025 million (US$1.14 million), financed through voluntary contributions from more than 1,600 members who participated in the last issue of voluntary contributions to the social capital of Som Energía, of 5,000,000 euros. The rest of the capital has been allocated to two other projects: La Matallana, which is already in operation and generating green energy since September 2018; and El Tahal in Almería, which is waiting to get connection.
