GCL SI plans to deliver 72 polycrystalline products with three varying grades of capacity for the Nuñez de Balboa project in the month of December.
Nuñez de Balboa is the first solar station for Iberdrola's public services in Europe. This 1000-hectare 500 MW project is currently the largest ongoing project in continental Europe.
In March 2019, GCL SI acquired the rights to be the supplier of 150 MW capacity to the Nuñez de Balboa project through a public tender.
The power plant is planned to start commercial operations in 2020. Once fully operational, the project will provide power to 250,000 people and offset 215,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
