John Wood Group Plc has completed the construction and other works for the 27 MW solar photovoltaic plant that generates power for a Dutch chemical facility operated by Royal Dutch Shell Plc.
The project is located at the Shell Nederland Chemie Moerdijk Chemical Facility in Moerdijk, near Breda, in the province of Noord-Brabant, in The Netherlands. It consists of 76,000 PV panels.
Wood served as the construction partner of Shell. Its clean energy team conducted the drafting and tendering of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and operation and maintenance (O&M) contracts, and also took part in construction monitoring, commissioning, performance testing and completion verification for the project.
