Siemens Financial Services has partnered up with Thermion Energy to develop the 117 MW Delaro wind project located in the Northern region of Reynosa, Tamaulipas in Mexico.

The project will feature 27 units of Siemens Gamesa’s SG 5.0-145 turbine, with blades and towers that are manufactured locally in Mexico.

When complete, the project will provide the equivalent of enough energy to supply 64,634 houses reducing CO2 emissions equal to planting 22.8 million trees and generate more than 400 jobs.

Siemens Financial Services (SFS) is investing, alongside Thermion, in the wind farm, participating not only with capital but with the expertise to see the project through to completion.
