Opdenergy has reached an agreement for the sale of an 80% interest in two solar photovoltaic plants in Mexico to Riverstone Holdings LLC. The plants on which the operation is carried out are Andalusia II, a 106 MWp photovoltaic plant located in Coahuila and PS Aguascalientes Sur I, a 38 MWp photovoltaic plant located in Aguascalientes.
Both plants are fully operational, having already reached the commercial operation start date (COD) under their respective PPA contracts in January 2020. The closing of the operation is subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
In addition, Riverstone and Opdenergy will form Vera Renovables, an 80/20 joint venture to develop, acquire and / or build new renewable energy projects in Mexico, which includes Opdenergy's photovoltaic solar energy pipeline in the country.
