Mexico launches tender for 25 MW Los Humeros geothermal project

The Mexican government, through its Federal Electricity Commission, has launched the tender for the development of a geothermal power plant in the Los Humeros geothermal field.

The project will consist of a condensing geothermal steam turbine, and a cooling system by means of a wet type cooling tower, main and auxiliary transformers. The power plant will be located in the Eastern Region of the state of Puebla and the Western Region of the state of Veracruz, 32 km northwest of the city of Perote, Veracruz of the United Mexican States. The project will have a 25 MW generating capacity. 

The deadline for the submission of the document to participate in the tender is on September 30, 2020.
