The state-owned power company Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) of Mexico has launched a tender for the design, construction, equipment, and installation of the 25 MW Los Humeros III Phase B geothermal power plant located on the eastern side of the state of Puebla and the western part of the state of Veracruz.
The project will be implemented on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) investment scheme. The developers will finance the construction phase of the project. The investment value is not specified.
Once the development is concluded and the plant is delivered in its operating conditions, CFE will establish deferred payments that are in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the contract.
The submission of the proposals is until January 28, 2021, with the awarding to happen on February 25, 2021. The bidding process will be done electronically.
