Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (ORIT) has completed the sale of the Krzecin and Kuslin onshore wind farms having a combined capacity of 59 MW in Poland to an affiliate of Orlen.
ORIT is set to receive around GBP 92 million (USD 116 million) in net proceeds from the transaction, surpassing the upper end of the company's anticipated range when entering the sale agreement in October 2023. The Krzecin and Kuslin wind farms were acquired by ORIT during their construction phase in October 2021, and the company effectively oversaw the construction processes, successfully commissioning the wind farms in 2022. This strategic and accretive sale aligns with the company's broader strategy to unlock capital by divesting a select number of assets.
