The PNE Group, which is internationally active in the development and operation of renewable energy projects, is starting the construction of two further wind farms in Poland. These projects will have a total nominal output of around 59 MW.
The start of construction of the 19 MW Krzecin wind farm is imminent. In this project, eight Nordex N117 wind turbines with a total nominal output of around 19 MW are being built in north-west Poland. The construction phase should be completed by the end of 2021.
In a few weeks, the construction of the 40 MW Nowy Tomysl wind farm in western Poland is to begin. Twelve Vestas V126 wind turbines will then be built. The nominal output of the wind farm will be around 40 MW. The construction phase should be completed in the first half of 2022.
The investment volume for the two wind farms is around EUR100 million (US$121.05 million). The project financing was secured with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and BayernLB. Sevivon Sp. Z oo, a company of the PNE Group in the Polish market, took over the two projects in development and, with its extensive expertise, developed them to be ready for construction and financially viable.
