RWE finalizes purchase of 2.7 GW European wind and solar portfolio

RWE and Nordex have successfully completed the process of acquisition of Nordex’ European onshore wind and solar development platform by RWE.

According to RWE, 15% of the pipeline projects are near their final investment decisions (FID) or in their late development stages, while about 230MW have secured their Contracts for Difference (CfDs) or other feed-in tariffs.

The EUR400 million (US$472.7 million) deal was agreed at the end of July.
