Ridge Clean Energy has released preliminary plans for its 41 MW Great Oaks Renewable Energy Park in Cumbria, England. The hybrid development would include wind, solar, and battery storage, as well as a GBP100,000 (US$119,720) annual community benefit fund for its 35-year lifespan.
The complex specifically involves wind turbines totaling 16.8 MW, a solar array with a capacity of up to 24 MW, and a battery storage system with a capacity of up to 20 MW.
Construction of the project will take place on grazing and agricultural land with easy access to a grid connection.
