FRV, Harmony start construction works on 99 MW energy storage project in Essex

Harmony Energy Storage (HESL) and Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) have started the construction of a 99 MW/198 MWh battery storage facility in Essex, England, UK.

The Clay Tye battery system will use 52 Megapack lithium-ion batteries supplied by Tesla Inc.

The project will be linked to the UK Power Networks distribution network in the Q1 2023. It will provide renewable energy storage capacity and peak-time flexibility to National Grid, an electricity and gas utility.
