Rezolv Energy has completed the acquisition of the rights to build the largest solar plant in Bulgaria, the 229 MW St. George solar photovoltaic (PV) project which will be located in the municipality of Silistra.
The project is acquired from YGY Industries, owned by Yavor Georgiev. The solar farm will constructed on about 165 hectares of decommissioned airfield and will consist of about 400,000 solar panels. The project will be connected to the main 110 kV transmission grid via two independent connection lines totaling about 6 km in length.
Once operational, the plant sets to sell the clean energy produced to commercial and industrial users through long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs).
