Resonac Graphite has signed a 15-year agreement with ImWind Erneuerbare Energie GmbH to purchase power from solar projects with a combined capacity of 42 MWp that will be built in Austria.
The renewable electricity will be used to power the Resonac facility in Bad Goisern, which manufactures graphite electrodes for climate-neutral steel production. The deal will provide clean energy at low prices in the long term.
ImWind hired Goldbeck Solar to construct two solar parks totaling 42 MWp at Nickelsdorf, Burgenland, northeast of the Hungarian border, and in Tauernwind, Styria, central Austria.
