ACWA Power and VERBUND have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaboratively explore the development of green hydrogen projects in the Middle East to supply renewable energy to Central Europe, with a focus on Austria.

During the ongoing Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2023, the parties signed the MOU.

Green hydrogen is one of the most promising alternatives for addressing climate change and accelerating carbon-free initiatives, as its zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions make it the world's cleanest and most efficient fuel.
