Renova Energia SA has achieved the commercial operation of a 132 MW portion of the 432.7 MW Alto Sertao III - phase A onshore wind power complex in the state of Bahia in Brazil.
The 132 MW portion is comprised of 45 turbines and forms Phase A of the wind complex. Renova has planned to complete the installation of 155 wind turbines by the end of the first half of 2022.
Once operational, Alto Sertao should be able to produce enough clean energy to meet the demand of up to 1 million homes.
