Photon Energy has started the commercial operation of the 5.7 MW solar photovoltaic facility located in the municipality of Șiria in Romania.
The project consists of 10,600 high-efficiency bifacial solar modules installed on about 9.3 hectares of greenfield land. The solar farm will be operated by Siria Solar S.R.L., a special-purpose company fully owned by Photon Energy Group.
The energy that will be produced by the plant will provide clean energy of around 8.7 GWh to the grid managed by Enel E-Distributie Banat. The electricity generated by the plant will be sold on the energy market on a merchant basis, without any support or power purchase agreement with an energy off-taker.
