Photon Energy has started the construction of a 7.1 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) project located near Sahateni in the county of Buzau, Romania.
The solar farm will span over 10 ha of land and will be equipped with 12,700 solar panels that will generate around 11.4 GWh of renewable energy per year. Without any government assistance or a power purchase agreement with an energy off-taker, the electricity produced will be sold on the energy market on a merchant basis.
The project is anticipated to be completed by Q4 of 2022.
