TESLA and ELEMENT Industrial (ELI) have signed a partnership agreement for the design and construction of rooftop solar photovoltaics (PV) installations on all ELI buildings in Romania over the next 3 to 5 years.
The first phase of the project will involve the construction of 40 MW of industrial-scale PV using SolarEdge inverter technology on an area of 250,000 m2 of industrial parks.
ELI industrial parks will gain from grid independence, power quality, and lower electricity prices for tenants with each PV installation, especially considering Europe's energy crisis. The shift to solar energy will also drastically lower ELI's carbon footprint.
