The Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) has approved the construction of a PHP2 billion (US$35.8 million) solar photovoltaic (PV) park in the Camarines Sur region with a generating capacity of 40.4 MW. The project calls for the installation of monocrystalline solar panels and string inverters in the City of Naga.
Proposed by domestic developer PAVI Green Renewable Energy Inc, the scheme aims to assist the island in meeting its growing electricity demand. The project is part of the Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP). The solar farm is expected to go live in February 2024.
