Prime Infrastructure Holdings Inc. has announced its plans to build a 3.5 GW solar-with-energy storage project in the Philippines.

The energy storage system will have a capacity of up to 4,500 MWh. The project will supply energy to the domestic utility Manila Electric Company (Meralco) through a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The developers target the full operation of the plant by 2027.

Terra Solar Philippines, a unit of Terra Renewables Holdings Inc, will implement the project. Terra Renewables is owned by Prime Infra and Solar Philippines Power Project Holdings Inc.
