Swedish renewables developer OX2 AB has applied for a Natura 2000 permit for the development of a 1.8 GW offshore wind farm project off the coast of Skane in southern Sweden.
Named as 'Triton', the project will be built about 30 km south of Ystad. It will consist of up to 129 wind turbines that can generate approximately 7.5 terawatt-hours of energy annually.
The County Administrative Board of Skane will review and decide the application. OX2 has applied for the same permit for its Galatea-Galene wind farm off the coast of Halland.
