Siemens Gamesa has signed a deal with Eolus and Hydro REIN to supply wind turbines for the 260 MW Stor-Skälsjön project in central Sweden.
The wind farm, located in Timrå and Sundsvall municipalities will employ 42 SG 6.6-170 turbines providing a competitive Levelized Cost of Energy for the project. These will sit on towers with heights of 115 meters to 123 meters. A 25-year full-scope service agreement was also included ensuring optimal performance over the lifetime of the turbines.
Hydro REIN and Eolus will own 49 and 51 percent, respectively and Enercon will be compensated for the conducted construction works. The project is due to be installed by 2023.
Centrica Energy Trading has signed three power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Taaleri Energia for output from three operational wind farms in Finland and Sweden with a total capacity of 266.4 MW.
