NTT Anode Energy Corporation (NTTAE), in partnership with Kyushu Electric Power Company, Inc. (Kyuden) and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), has started the commercial operation of the 1.4 MW/4.2 MWh grid-scale battery storage system (BESS) project located in Tagawa-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
The project aims to establish a system that will link grid storage batteries and photovoltaic power plants in different locations and charge the same amount of power generated to the batteries.
