Amp Energy has announced the commencement of construction on the 18.6MW solar power plant in Kashiwazaki, Niigata prefecture, Japan.
Crucial participants in this project include Mitsubishi Corporation Clean Energy, acting as the power purchase agreement (PPA) recipient and investor, Toenec, the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor, and Amp Energy. The electricity produced will be delivered to the PPA recipient through a corporate power purchase agreement. Expected to generate power equivalent to the annual consumption of 5,100 households, this project significantly contributes to decarbonization efforts, estimated to reduce CO2 emissions by 19,000 tons. The electricity generated will be smoothly integrated into the grid at Tohoku EPCO, ensuring a dependable power supply.
