Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Generation LLC (AGB) has finished construction and commenced operations at Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Plant located in Gamagori Town of Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
The project is developed by AGB, a joint venture formed by Terras Energy Corporation (formerly known as SB Energy Corp) with 3% share, Marubeni Corp with 48.5% share and Chubu Electric Power Co Inc with 48.5% share. The biomass power plant, with an output of 50 MW, uses woody biomass as fuel and is anticipated to generate approximately 340 million kWh of power annually. The plant has the capacity to generate energy equivalent to power for approximately 110,000 ordinary households.
The construction of the power plant started on March 12, 2021 and became operational on August 9, 2023.
