JERA Co has submitted the Primary Environmental Impact Consideration Document for the development of the planned 340 MW offshore wind power generation project located in Akita Prefecture, Japan. The project will be located off the coast of Oga City, Katagami City, and Akita City and include as many as 29 wind turbines.
The Document presents the outcomes of discussions about environmental conservation matters that need to be taken into account during the project planning stage. The document is published on January 17th on JERA's website and made accessible for the public to review at the administrative agencies listed in Attachment 2. People who would like to provide feedback or opinions regarding the document from an environmental conservation perspective are encouraged to submit them via mail to the address listed in Attachment 2 or drop them off at designated boxes located at the locations where the document is being made available for public review.
JERA will proceed with the project under the direction of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry and other relevant authorities, taking into account the perspectives of other parties involved.
