JERA is a joint venture between Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc. (TEPCO) and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. JERA was formed through the integration of the thermal power generation businesses of TEPCO and Chubu Electric Power. TEPCO and Chubu Electric Power are major Japanese utilities, and their collaboration with JERA aims to enhance efficiency and competitiveness in the energy sector. JERA is primarily involved in the development, operation, and management of thermal power generation projects, including coal, gas, and oil-based power plants.
