Neoen SA signed a 30-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with ElectraNet to link initial capacity from its AUD3 billion (US$2.03 billion) Goyder Renewables Zone project in South Australia. The transmission connection agreement covers half the capacity of the 412 MW Goyder South Stage 1 wind farm.
In South Australia's Mid North region, 100 km northeast of Adelaide, the Goyder Renewables Zone project will phase in 1,200 MW of wind, 600 MW of solar, and 900 MW/1,800 MWh of energy storage.
The Goyder South Stage 1 wind farm is anticipated to be completed in 2024. It has a 100 MW PPA with the Australian Capital Territory and will feature 75 GE 5.5-158 Cypress platform turbines (ACT). Flow Power will buy 40 MW.
