Stanwell Corporation and Acciona Energia have signed a 15-year agreement for the supply of 150 MW of renewable energy from Acciona's 1,026 MW MacIntyre Wind Precinct project in Queensland, Australia. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will take effect from 2025 to 2040.
With a total investment of around AUD2 billion (US$1.3 billion), MacIntyre Wind Precinct will produce enough power for about 700,000 homes.
The project began construction in May 2022, with the first foundations being poured in September. It is anticipated that the facility will be operating by 2025.
