Neoen has reached financial close on the first 209 MW of its 412 MW Goyder South Stage 1 wind project in South Australia's Mid North region.
ANZ, HSBC, Mizuho, Societe Generale, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and Westpac are among the six lenders who granted financing facilities for the wind farm.
The remaining 203 MW of Goyder South Stage 1 will support BHP's newly agreed baseload renewable energy contract. This second phase of Goyder South Stage 1 is anticipated to be fully financed by 2023. The complete construction of Stage 1, totaling 412 MW and 75 wind turbines, is ongoing, and operations are anticipated to begin in 2024.
