AIB invests in Irish solar PV pipeline

AIB has invested EUR8.5 million ($9 million) in BNRG, an Irish solar developer and operator with a solar development pipeline of 2.7 GW throughout Ireland, the US, the UK, and Australia, as well as 23 MW of operating assets in the US.

AIB's investment will enable BNRG to develop 1.8 GW of solar energy products by 2025. It follows Impax Asset Management and BNRG's agreement to install solar energy portfolios in the US and Ireland.

AIB is an investment bank that operates in Ireland.
