ConnectGen has announced that the Logan County Board granted its 200 MW Pike Creek Wind Project a final Conditional Use Permit. The wind farm will feature around 45 turbines installed in Logan County, Illinois, USA. Once completed, the project would generate enough electricity annually to power more than 60,00 houses.
Once the wind farm is constructed, Mt. Pulaski Community Schools, Lincoln Community High School, New Holland-Middletown Elementary School, and West-Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School are estimated to receive US$40 million in enhanced revenue from the project throughout its 30-plus-year lifespan.
