Spearmint Energy has started the construction of the 150 MW, two-hour battery energy storage project located in Texas, USA.
The facility will be constructed in partnership with Mortenson acting as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor. Named 'Revolution Grid Battery', the facility, substation, and transmission line will be connected to the ERCOT grid in Texas.
The project is targeted for commercial operation in 2023.
