Spearmint Energy has acquired the 150 MW Revolution battery energy storage system (BESS) project from Con Edison Development, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses. The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.
Revolution, which will supply battery energy storage assets to the ERCOT market in West Texas, is situated adjacent to the King Mountain Wind Farm in the territory of the Lower Colorado River Authority, USA.
In the second quarter of 2023, it is anticipated that the Revolution battery project will receive notification to begin operation.
