Nexamp has reached an agreement with Cypress Creek Renewables to acquire a 45 MW solar portfolio located in Illinois, USA. The portfolio consists of 15 separate community solar projects located within the service territories of ComEd and Ameren.
Once completed, the projects will produce enough renewable energy to power about 6,000 average homes while offsetting 25,500 metric tons of CO2 annually, which is equivalent to removing 4,800 automobiles from the road.
The solar projects are expected to be completed before the end of 2023.
