Nautilus Solar Energy, LLC has completed the acquisition of two of Cipriani Energy Group Corporation's eight community solar projects in New York, USA. Once completed, the solar farms will provide New Yorkers within the service boundaries of National Grid and NYSEG with an alternative energy source.
The 25 MW projects are in various phases of development across six New York counties. It is anticipated that the first projects would be operational by Q4 of 2023.
The solar plants directly support the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act of New York, which mandates that the state obtain 70% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. It will also benefit disadvantaged communities (DAC) and subscribers with low to moderate incomes (LMI).
