SunVest Solar LLC has commissioned its three solar community projects in Illinois, USA. Two of the solar sites, located in the communities of Glenwood and Mazon, are within the territory of Commonwealth Edison. The third location is in Ameren territory. The three sites have a combined capacity of 2 MWac.
State subsidies and programs, such as Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) and the Illinois Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), which was signed into law on September 15, 2021, make such projects possible. SunVest, which constructs, owns, and operates large-scale community solar facilities, is preparing to expand alongside the Illinois solar market.
