Takeda and Enel North America, a unit of Enel Group, have signed a 12-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) for the 70 MW portion of the 300 MW Seven Cowboy wind project located in the Kiowa and Washita counties in Oklahoma, USA.
Under the contract terms, Takeda will purchase approximately 350,000 MWh of electricity from Enel, which will be used for the operation of its US facilities including BioLife Plasma Services centers in the USA, global manufacturing and supply, research and development, and other office locations with the ability to accommodate expansions.
The VPPA was advised by Edison Energy. The Seven Cowboy wind project is expected to be commissioned in 2023.
