German investment firm KGAL has signed a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Italian utility and EDF subsidiary Edison to sell power generated from the 150 MW Tuscania solar project in Lazio, Italy.
The KGAL ESPF 4 fund owns the site, which ranks among Italy's largest solar parks. Production of electricity is set to commence in the latter half of 2024. KGAL anticipates completing the project, currently being built in central Italy. The company is specifically focusing on expanding its solar sector, aiming to incorporate 2 GW of new solar capacity by 2030.
