BKW has completed the purchase of two wind farms with a combined capacity of 130 MW located in Cerignola, Puglia, Italy.
The wind farms will enter the construction phase in 2024 and are planned to start operation by the end of 2025. All 31 turbines will be constructed on the Cerignola site.
This transaction significantly exceeds BKw's goal of operating a portfolio of new renewable energy production assets with a capacity of at least 1,000 MW by 2026. It will continue to invest in renewable energy with a promising pipeline of hydro, wind, and solar power projects in Switzerland.
