CPS Energy has reached a 20-year agreement with Kenlov Renewable Energy and Ashtrom Renewable Energy for the purchase of 180 MW of solar energy from the 305 MW Tierra Bonita solar photovoltaic (PV) project located in Pecos County, West Texas, USA. The contract for the first 300 MW was signed with Consolidated Edison Development, Inc. in May of 2022.

The FlexPOWER Bundle effort seeks to further diversify CPS Energy's power generation portfolio. The bundle is part of the utility's wider initiative to switch to newer, cleaner technologies.

The construction of the solar plant is expected to begin in 2023.
