Innergex Renewable Energy has completed the acquisition of the 138 MW Mountain Air wind portfolio located in Idaho, USA from an affiliate of MetLife Investment Management.
The deal represents all the Class A shares of the portfolio for a total consideration of US$47.5 million. The shares represent the remaining 37.75% of the outstanding shares in the portfolio that Innergex didn't initially own.
The portfolio consists of six 23 MW wind farms, Cold Springs, Desert Meadow, Hammett Hill, Mainline, Ryegrass, and Two Ponds. The six wind farms have a 10-year remaining power purchase agreement with the Idaho Power Company.
