China’s MingYang Smart Energy Group has been contracted by Guangdong Electric Power Development (Yuedian) to supply turbines for the Qingzhou 1 and 2 wind farm projects in the province of Guangdong.
The 600 MW Qingzhou 1 and 400 MW Qingzhou 2 wind farm will have MySE 11-230 wind turbines with 203-meter diameter rotor at an 11 MW rated individual output.
Once operational, the projects can generate up to 3.6 billion kWh of energy per year. The wind farms are targetted for commercial operation by 2023.
