Ming Yang Smart Energy Group awarded turbine supply to 375 MW intertidal wind project in Ca Mau

PowerChina International Group has awarded MingYang Smart Energy Group a contract to supply a turbine for the development of a 375 MW intertidal offshore wind project off the coast of Ca Mau province in Vietnam.

The project will have 75 units of MySE 5.0-166 machines that will be installed in the Thuan Thanh hamlet of Dam Doi district. It will be built in two phases with the first stage of construction to start after the delivery of wind turbines in the first quarter of 2022. 

China Gezhouba Group Company (CGGC) will deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work for the project. Once operational, the wind farm will generate up to 1.1 billion kWh of energy per year.
