Japan Renewable Energy (JRE) has started the construction of two solar parks with 142.5 MW combined capacity in Kumamoto prefecture, Japan.
The 79.95 MW JRE Yamato Takamori solar power plant located in Yamato, Kamimashiki District is expected to offset about 43,530 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
The 62.53 MW JRE Aso Takamori polar power plant located in Takamori town, in Aso District is expected to offset about 31,310 tonnes of CO2 annually.
The two solar PV plants are scheduled to be completed in August 2020 and can generate electricity on about 38,860 local households annually.
The output of both solar plants will be purchased by Kyushu Electric Power Company Inc.
