SB Energy Corp, in partnership with Marubeni Corp and Electric Power Co Inc., has announced to build a 50 MW Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Plant in Gamagori city, Aichi prefecture.
The Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Plant will be using wood pellets and palm coconut shells as fuel. The power plant is expected to generate about 340 million kWh per year, enough electricity to supply for up to 110,000 homes.
The construction of Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Plant is planned to start in April 2021 and expected to be operational by August of 2023.
The project will be developed by Aichi Gamagori Biomass Power Generation LLC, a joint venture formed by SB Energy Corp with 3% share, Marubeni Corp with 48.5% share and Chubu Electric Power Co Inc with 48.5% share.
