J-Power starts commercial operation of Esashi wind project in Hokkaido

Esashi Green Energy Co., Ltd., in which J Wind Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Electric Power Development Co., Ltd (J-Power), has started the commercial operation of the 21 MW Esashi wind farm project located in the town of Esashi in Hokkaido, Japan. 

The facility consists of five 4.2-MW wind turbines that are designed and supplied by General Electric. 

J-Power now has a total of 154.45 MW of renewable assets in Hokkaido Prefecture in operation or under construction.
