J-Power, SymEnergy to build 21 MW wind project in Hokkaido

Electric Power Development Co Ltd (J-Power) is partnering with SymEnergy to develop a 21 MW wind project located in Hokkaido, Japan. 

The Esashi Windfarm project will be built in the town of Esashi through the investment vehicle Esashi Green Energy Co Ltd of which 30% is owned by SymEnergy. The project will consist of five 4.2-MW turbines supplied by General Electric. 

The construction of the project is expected to start in December 2022.
