J-POWER, Juneau Hydropower sign joint development agreement for 19.8 MW hydroelectric project in Alaska

J-POWER and Juneau Hydropower Inc. (JHI) have signed a joint development agreement for the 19.8 MW Sweetheart Lake Hydroelectric Development Project located near Juneau, the capital of Alaska, USA.

The contract also involves the construction of transmission lines and a district heating system in Juneau.

The Sweetheart Lake hydro project will occupy about 2,058 acres of land within the Tongass National Forest. It is designed to generate about 116 GWh of energy per year.
